Job overview

The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality administrative and organisational support to a number of directorates, in relation to the management of the junior medical workforce and associated rotas. The post holder will be a member of the division’s local faculty groups and will complement the work of the Trust’s Medical Human Resources department.

• Managing complex rotas, putting appropriate plans in place to ensure that medical staffing levels do not fall below the required minimum.
• Devising new junior doctor rotas to meet the changing needs of the service within the boundaries of EWTD rules, in collaboration with Medical HR.
• Effective planning and implementation of the local induction process for all new starters.
• Facilitating all recruitment planning/administration in relation to junior doctor posts, regularly horizon-scanning to minimise the impact of vacancies on the service and implementing innovative recruitment strategies to attract the best possible junior medical workforce to the divisions, in collaboration with the Medical HR team.
• Supporting service managers and lead clinicians with employee relations and workforce issues relating to junior doctor staff, in collaboration with Medical HR.
