Job summary

To provide high quality administrative and secretarial support to the consultant psychiatrist(s) and/or senior staff and the clinical team.

They will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of their specialty team Support Secretaries ensuring timely production of clinical correspondence to facilitate compliance. They will ensure all clinical correspondence is produced to the required standard within the timeframe of the national and local targets.

The role will be across two bases Centenary House and Beighton.

Main duties of the job

Provide a comprehensive administrative/support service to the consultant psychiatrist(s) and/or senior staff and the clinical team across two working sites, including typing correspondence, memoranda, reports, emails and other documents using audio and word processing equipment. To support the Operational Support Manager with daily management of the Business Support Admin Team.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

English Language at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience Audio typing and word processing skills with RSA Stage 3 typing qualification or equivalent experience

Desirable

Previous experience in a secretarial/admin role within the NHS Previous experience of leadership role. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook Including diary management

Previous experience of developing and implementing new office systems Audio typing experience Experience of taking, transcribing and distributing minutes of meetings

Experience of working within a child focused service Experience of working in a mental health service Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Information Governance
