Functional Skills Teacher Opportunity in Nottinghamshire

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Teacher to provide high-quality tuition in English, focusing on core literacy skills and functional English applications. This role involves delivering both one-to-one and small group sessions to students in Key Stage 3 who require additional support outside of the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted Functional Skills tuition in English, empowering students to develop essential reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Work creatively to develop lesson plans tailored to meet individual student needs, ensuring engaging and effective sessions.
  • Foster a supportive, encouraging environment to help students build confidence and reach their full potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • An effective teacher with experience in delivering Functional Skills or similar English support.
  • Proven track record of fostering student progress, with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A professional committed to safeguarding and enhancing the welfare of young people.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm for engaging and motivating students to achieve their personal best.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
