Teaching Personnel is Seeking Dedicated Functional Skills Tutors

We are committed to helping learners succeed in essential skills such as English and Maths. Our team of experienced Functional Skills Tutors play a vital role in supporting learners to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Functional Skills sessions in English and Maths to learners of all abilities.
  • Create engaging and personalised learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support, both in person and remotely, ensuring learners build confidence and make progress.
  • Assess learners' progress regularly and adjust teaching methods to maximise engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide a well-rounded learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Teaching experience delivering Functional Skills.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate learners who may have struggled with education in the past.
  • Ability to use digital platforms for online teaching, if required.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
