Leeds, United Kingdom The City & Guilds Group Full time
Administrator (Quality Administrator)

We are currently looking to add to our Quality team and are looking for an Administrator to join our busy operation here at City & Guilds in Wakefield.

  • Working hours: 35 hours between our office hours of 8:30-5

Salary £21800

This role will start as a typical office position, but we are aiming to introduce a hybrid model after an initial probationary period, however this will be dependent on business requirements.

With best-in-class benefits  (Private medical healthcare, Life Assurance, Group Income Protection, increased Company Pension contributions and many others voluntary benefits),  competitive pay and a nurturing and progressive environment, working with us is the career move you were meant to make

Perfect for someone from an administrative or customer service background, however we also really encourage career changers (for example someone who wants a change from hospitality or retail perhaps), college leavers, people looking for their first job or people who want to get back into work.

Don’t be put off if you haven’t done a role like this before, we’re interested in your transferable skills and what you can bring to the role, not your previous job experience or your qualifications.

Our diverse teams are full of different personalities and backgrounds and the role is a great way to start your career development here

This appointment will be made on merit.

We believe that diversity and inclusion strengthen and enriches us, and that it is the responsibility of everyone at the City & Guilds Group to drive this value. As ethnic minority groups and disabled people are currently under-represented within the Group, we particularly encourage and welcome applications from these communities.

Experience Entry Level Salary £21,840 Type of role Permanent Full-time or part-time Full-time Location - Country UK Location - City Wakefield Business Unit COO Closing date 13/05/2024 Vacancy ref 7806 Documents

About the role

In this role you will provide support across a range of quality related queries. You'll deal with those queries by both telephone and email. The role is broad and has other administrative responsibilities - processing expense claims from our associates in quality, for example.

Our Administrators also undertake data input and management, across a number of different systems and including the use of Excel spreadsheets.

About you

You must be someone who is organised and familiar with or has a willingness to adapt quickly to an administrative role. You need to have confidence in using Windows 10, Microsoft Word, outlook etc. and most importantly know your way around an Excel spreadsheet or two

Our Story and Mission

Our vision is for a world in which everyone has the skills and opportunities to succeed. We support almost five million people each year to develop skills that help them into a job, develop on that job and to prepare for their next job. As a charity, we’re proud that everything we do is focused on achieving this purpose.

Through our assessment and credentialing, corporate learning and technical training offers, we partner with our customers to deliver work-based learning programmes that build competency to support better prospects for people, organisations and wider society. We create flexible learning pathways that support lifelong employability, because we believe that people deserve the opportunity to (re)train and (re)learn again and again – gaining new skills at every stage of life, regardless of where they start.

At the heart of our business sits the City & Guilds Foundation which amplifies our purpose by helping to remove barriers to getting into a job, celebrating best practice on the job, and advocating for jobs of the future.

We were founded in 1878 by the City of London and the trade guilds of the time, to help people, organisations and economies to develop their skills for growth.

Our rich experience means we’re uniquely positioned to understand the future of work and learning. And we continually evolve to develop and deliver skills for the workplace of the future. Today, as well as qualifications and assessment, we offer digital credentialing, eLearning technologies, executive leadership development, technical training and consultancy.

Our success is driven by the people we work with. We pride ourselves on our ability to offer an equal opportunity to all our staff and we value diversity within our inclusive culture. We recognise that a diverse workforce is the only way we will achieve our ambitious business goals, so we work hard to be flexible to accommodate everyone.

What  We Offer

We offer the opportunity to work in an innovative, engaging and market-leading organisation with opportunities to develop your existing skills and explore new ones.

You’ll receive an excellent benefits package which typically includes a great base salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and possibility to purchase more days, Private medical healthcare, Life Assurance, Group Income Protection, enhanced Company Pension and many others voluntary benefits.

Employees health and wellbeing is very important to us, and we have a range of tools available to help employees with their mental health and wellbeing and lots more besides.

In support of financial wellbeing, we offer our employees access to Imagine Nudge. This is a great tool and helps employees focus on different areas of their finances.

We also provide access to a Group wide Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

We welcome a discussion about how this role could work flexibly for you. For example, work pattern, hours or location.
