Information Systems Specialist (Internal Applications)

IT and Digital Infrastructure (ITDI) provides central support for most of the IT systems used to support the University. It comprises of almost 50 members of staff covering a wide range of skills and disciplines.

MIS (Management and Information Systems Team) currently has 6 members of staff located throughout the Highlands developing and supporting our Student Records system (Tribal SITS) and placements system (InPlace). MIS are a pro-active, responsive team who support all system users from applicants, enrolled students, alumni, and staff.

We have an exciting opportunity in our MIS team for an Information Systems Specialist who will be working on primarily on SITS with some work also in Inplace, helping us to support and develop these critical systems. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving system / integration issues and delivering key business system enhancements for our Student Records system. The role covers the full development lifecycle from gathering user requirements to deployment, including testing and release. Prior knowledge of SITS (in particular, Vista, SRLs, tasking and STU-Talk) would be advantageous.
