Job overview

Are you a skilled and compassionate critical care nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity? We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as Band 6 nurses on our Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) at The Royal London Hospital.

We are extremely proud of our amazing team, whose exceptional efforts have been recognised both by the Care Quality Commission who rated us ‘outstanding’ for caring in 2016, and by the Royal College of Nursing who honoured us with the Team of the Year Award in 2021.

As the UK’s largest trauma centre The Royal London Hospital is a leading specialist centre with an international reputation for caring for some of the most seriously injured patients in London and beyond. You will be working within a highly skilled, dynamic multi-disciplinary team, in our busy and energetic 44 bedded ACCU and our 12 bedded complex elective Surgical HDU. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic nurses with previous critical care experience to play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. As a key member of our highly skilled team, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and drive excellence.

Main duties of the job

In return we will provide exciting learning opportunities within both the clinical and educational setting to help you maximise your experience and learning and you’ll be rewarded with a deeply fulfilling career that constantly challenges and inspires you.

We strive to live by our WeCare values and are committed to promoting inclusion, where every staff member has a sense of belonging. We value our differences and fully advocate, cultivate and support an inclusive working environment where staff treat one another with dignity and respect. We aim to create an equitable working environment where every individual can fulfil their potential.

This is your chance to be part of a remarkable team that saves lives, delivers outstanding patient-centred care, makes a lasting impact and where your expertise will be valued.
