An exciting opportunity has become available for a band 5 registered nurse on Ward 10. Our nursing workforce is made up of a good mix of experienced and new staff who work together to make the environment a happy place to work and learn.

Ward 10 is a 22 bedded Trauma and Orthopaedic ward specialising in acute trauma. We also receive general surgical, urology and medical outliers.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time band 5 Nurse who takes pride in delivering quality and compassionate care.

Main duties of the job

As a major teaching hospital we are renowned as a leader in the region for education and training, so you will be fully supported through your nursing career and development.

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively as part of the team and deal with complex and sensitive situations in a professional manner. You will be required to demonstrate commitment to excellent patient experience, in line with the Trust Care Values, and in support of our patients.

As a new member of the team you will be given the opportunity to learn new skills, working with all members of the MDT to deliver excellent standards of care. You will have opportunities to learn, develop and progress in a caring and supportive team. A Trust preceptorship programme is available to all newly qualified staff. All staff are encouraged to progress with their personal and professional development with access to formal and informal study days.
