MALE PICU & FEMALE ENHANCED CARE
Our inpatient services are undergoing significant transformation as we implement changes to ensure ensuite provision and onsite intensive and enhanced care, male PICU and female enhanced care provision. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to shaping this service, before it is built.
The Division of Psychology and Psychological Therapies, alongside the Trust commitment to developing a trauma informed approach, has enabled us to recruit into this post early, so that there is real opportunity to bring in these principles in relation to recruitment, training, etc. In this way, the emphasis will initially be on assisting with embedding parts of the strategy and then the post will be based within the male PICU and female enhanced care ward.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to take a senior role within the inpatient services where an enhanced level of input is required. Main duties of the job

The post holder will also contribute to shaping the vision of the service, by developing and delivering training to staff, under the supervision of the Principal Clinical Psychologist. This role will also enable you to build on audit and research skills, contribute to how the team implements policies and procedures, and contribute to service development. Our service is exploring ways to enhance trauma informed principles within all aspects of service delivery, and this is a great opportunity to play a part in further developments.
Applicants will be considered from band 7 Clinical Psychologists as a developmental opportunity into an 8A role. Band 7 Clinical Psychologists will only be considered with relevant experience in an acute inpatient setting. If you are applying for a band 7 post, please make it clear in your supporting evidence which post you are applying for.
