DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLEFOR:

We are looking for a reliable Hand person to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of charity premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs.Some technical knowledge is an important part of a handy person’s skill. You must be well-organized with some general repair skills, an eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

THIS POST IS SUBJECT TO:

Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To support the staff team and volunteers at the Deysbrook Village Centre to set up and clear away rooms before and after use, help with heavy lifting duties withing the pantry and generally help with various heavy manual jobs in and around the centre.

 AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc. Perform maintenance and light repairs Perform routine landscaping on the grounds Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, etc Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks shovelling snow) Identify and report the need for major repairs

General

To work evenings and weekends as determined by service demands. The job description is not intended to be either prescriptive or exhaustive; it is issued as a framework to outline the main areas of responsibilities at the time of writing. To undertake training and supervision as required by management.
