About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Inventory Controller to join our dedicated team at our state-of-the-art Customer Fulfilment Centre in Andover, Hampshire. The CFC boasts world-leading technology and fulfils thousands of customer orders each week.

This role is integral in keeping Ocado moving. The Engineering Inventory Controller is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and management of stock levels in the main and satellite stores using our computerised maintenance management system. On a daily basis, you will be providing spare parts to the Engineering maintenance teams, processing stores purchase orders, invoicing and associated admin processes, goods receiving, inspections, storage, and picking of spare parts, not forgetting there will be some physical heavy lifting – around 20kg, to be precise. You will also need to build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best value and excellent service levels. This role is based within one of our busy 24/7 operating Fulfilment Centres which will require a level of flexibility when it comes to your shifts.

About you

You have proven experience working in a technical stores environment, and you are keen to progress your career. You have excellent interpersonal skills and you are able to communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers. You are target driven, and thrive working in a high-pressure environment. Proficient in the Microsoft package and CMMS (computerised maintenance management system), you have great analytical skills and are proficient in administrative processes.
