Engineering Design Specialist

This position is responsible for providing high-quality engineering designs per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules, as well as participating on a team to design, install, and service building automation control and security management systems. This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager and reports into an Engineering Manager.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design hardware submittals, read and write simple programming, and assist others in startup of control's equipment.
  • Maintain and adhere to standards for engineering and basic sequences of operations.
  • Assist the PM in reviewing contract documentation, coordination drawings, material procurement activity, and other documents throughout the project life cycle.
  • Lead resolution of project issues through RFI's, field surveys, and customer communications.
  • Manage incoming communications from customers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers efficiently so that inquiries are addressed in a timely manner while balancing work assignments.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering field.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HVAC, security, or other building or electronic control systems or Schneider Electric's software applications.
