As a Stock Management Specialist at Moston, you will be entrusted with overseeing inventory-related operations across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with established contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while upholding high standards of equipment maintenance and regulatory adherence.

This position demands a keen eye for detail, proactive inventory forecasting, and the creation of effective stock management systems aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and safety across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the monitoring of inventory movements.
  • Ensuring all inventory processes align with the contractual KPIs set for each location.
  • Developing and optimizing comprehensive inventory management systems, utilizing both digital and traditional record-keeping methods to ensure accuracy across all sites.
  • Maintaining equipment at the highest levels of compliance and operational readiness across all locations.
  • Continuously improving inventory management systems to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Implementing and refining both electronic and manual inventory tracking systems to support seamless operations.
  • Facilitating the timely addition of new assets to the inventory while keeping detailed records of asset condition and compliance.
  • Coordinating the prompt receipt of deliveries and distributing necessary documentation to relevant departments.
  • Ensuring safe and efficient operations within the facilities, including equipment relocation and material handling.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management and systems.
  • Experience in conducting internal and external audits using both barcode and manual accounting systems.
  • Solid background in a previous inventory control role with a thorough understanding of inventory management methods and best practices.
  • Logical thinker with the ability to analyze data and resolve issues effectively.
  • Methodical and detail-oriented approach to data accuracy is essential.
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • General IT proficiency to utilize inventory management databases and spreadsheets, including Excel.
  • Health and Safety awareness is crucial, with prior experience in a large-scale operational environment being advantageous.
  • Desirable qualifications include a 16-tonne FLT license and HGV Class 2.
  • A valid driving license is essential.
