Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our developing Pulmonary Rehabilitation team within Hywel Dda University Health Board. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation team sits within the Multi-Model Rehabilitation service. This is a part time role of 30 hours a week.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly, proactive rehabilitative therapy team, and will work collaboratively within our community based Multidisciplinary team. This innovative service promotes growth for staff and service delivery.

You will be expected to work as an integral part of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation team providing high quality, evidence based, person centred care to people across Hywel Dda. You may have the potential to work within the Multi-Model Rehabilitation service to include Post Viral and Neuro Rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our pulmonary rehabilitation team to work within our Hywel Dda community. The post holder will provide facilitation of our groups and community caseload, to include delivery of exercise and relaxation components under supervision of the occupational therapist and physiotherapist. They will assist with specified clinical duties for example exercise delivery and relaxation as well as administrative tasks, in the provision of an efficient, caring, patient focused service. They will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team including; physiotherapists, occupational therapists, admin, therapy assistants and respiratory nurses.

The University Health Board proactively supports training and development both as part of internal and external CPD.

The role may involve travelling to and working across other hospital and community sites in support of service delivery across Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Evidence of Level 3 qualification relevant to workplace OR other equivalent training, qualifications or experience Level 4 education OR equivalent experience with completion of relevant Level 4 qualification within a specified timescale after successful appointment skills with good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office applications Numeracy and literacy to at least level 2 (GCSE level grade C or above) Good knowledge of rehabilitation through acquired experience and/or training Working knowledge of therapeutic equipment Knowledge of the roles of other staff groups in health and social care.
