Teaching Personnel are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work within a Special Needs school in Basingstoke. Ideally, you will have some experience of SEN/SEND in a learning environment but applicants with transferrable skills are welcome.

The needs of the pupils range from moderate to complex, and the suitable applicant must have the ability to support pupils with varied needs. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and support children with special needs and help them reach their potential in a professional and caring manner
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Actively plan and join in play and youth activities including swimming, ball games, messy play and music
  • Be prepared to communicate differently with a wide range of people
  • Keep records and write reports when required
  • Ensure the highest level of safety and safeguarding at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
