Proman Recruitment is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Claims Management and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) background to join our client's dynamic team for a long-term construction project in Deeside (CH5), UK. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a significant project, offering professional growth and the potential for ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying:

  • Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying function.

Claims Management:

  • Handle the preparation, evaluation, and resolution of claims relating to the project.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and legal teams to resolve disputes.
  • Ensure all claims are documented and processed efficiently in accordance with contract requirements.

MEP Expertise:

  • Oversee all MEP-related aspects of the project.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure accurate installation and integration of MEP systems.
  • Review MEP designs and provide cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Project Coordination:

  • Liaise with the project management team, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Attend project meetings, provide updates on cost management, and resolve any financial issues that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with large-scale projects.
  • Expertise in claims management, with a strong understanding of contractual and legal aspects.
  • Solid experience in MEP systems, including a thorough understanding of installation processes and cost management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are desirable.
