The post holder will be joining an expanding clinical team at an exciting time in the department's development. The position is full time, based on a 10 PA job plan, however, candidates who wish to work less than full time will also be encouraged

Main duties of the job

This is a replacement post and the successful applicant will join the existing Nephrology Team at Darent Valley Hospital. The post-holder will work across both Urology & Nephrology Directorate and Adult Medicine Directorate.

There are currently 5 Nephrology Consultants and 1 Renal Specialist within the Directorate of Nephrology and Urology. Inpatient care is catering for patients with acute kidney injury and other chronic renal diseases. There is also a strong relationship with the Intensive Care Unit. Outpatient services focus on the earlier stages (1 to 4) of chronic kidney disease with patients referred toKing's College Hospital (KCH) for Stage 5 end-stage renal failure care

Job responsibilities

A formal Job Plan will be agreed between the appointee and their Clinical Director, on behalf of the Medical Director, within three months after the commencement date of the appointee. This will be signed by the Clinical Director and will be effective from the commencement date of the appointment. The Job Plan for the first three months will be agreed between you and the Directorate. The Job Plan will then be reviewed annually, following the Appraisal Meeting.
