About of the Business:

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service provides short term housing and other support for people reintegrating into the community following their release from prison.

These Bail Support positions involve the case management of allocated clients ensuring they are supported throughout their initial Bail into the community whilst living in a home supporting environment. It will include working closely with Community Probations, Bail Supports, Police, Family and other government and community organizations. You will have a willingness to work from a bicultural perspective, having an awareness and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi

 This is a 24/7 Supported Service with rostered shifts that include awake overnight duities.

About the Role:

The Reintegration Bail House Support Worker is responsible to case manage the contracted programme and support the Bail Team to a standard of excellence and to help create a Home environment that is safe, free of judgement and inclusive for all.

What will your responsibilities be:

Care and support of the individual needs of each resident.  Positive interactions with residents support network. Emailable residents to build meaningful relationships with wider community supports. Meet the administration requirements of the service. To role model mature and responsible decision making and behaviors. 

Our ideal candidate will:

Have the ability to work in a team environment Have the good personal relationship skills Have previous experience in handling crises Have an ability to monitor and oversight programme Have a willingness to work from a bicultural perspective, having an awareness and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi Have a commitment to the mission and values of the Salvation Army Have a strong sense of social justice Have a current First Aid certificate Have a current full drivers licence

Hours of work:  Permanent/part time and hours to be worked on a 24/7 working roster. 6x 8 hour shifts per fortnight with the possible opportunity of other shifts on occasion. 

The starting hourly rate  for this role will fall between $27 - $29 per hour
