About of the Company:

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service offers short term housing and support for individuals reintegrating into the community post-release from prison.

These Bail Support roles involve managing allocated clients to ensure ongoing support during their initial Bail period living in a supportive home environment. Collaboration with Community Probations, Police, Family, and other organizations is vital. A bicultural approach is essential, with an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi.

This is a 24/7 Supported Service with rotating shifts, including awake overnight duties.

About the Position:

The Reintegration Bail House Support Worker is accountable for managing the program and supporting the Bail Team to maintain excellence levels and foster a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive home environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Attend to the individual needs of each resident.
  • Engage positively with residents' support systems.
  • Communicate with residents to establish connections with wider community supports.
  • Fulfill service administration obligations.
  • Demonstrate mature and responsible decision-making and behaviors.

Work Hours: Part-time permanent role with shifts scheduled around the clock. 6x 8-hour shifts per fortnight with occasional opportunities for other shifts.

Starting Hourly Rate: $27 - $29 per hour.
