Role Purpose:
  • To set up and implement a strategy for which will enable the modern, secure, compliant, efficient and effective data management and utilization of information from the business
  • To lead a diverse team of in house and third-party to deliver Allwyn DWH and BI solutions
  • Enable Data Driven culture in the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the entire BI department and ensuring that its activities align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Setting and executing the strategic direction for the BI team
  • Collaborating with C-level executives and other department heads to identify opportunities and challenges where BI can provide solutions.
  • Managing the integration of BI tools, databases, and systems to ensure seamless data flow and availability.
  • Prioritizing BI initiatives based on organizational needs and ROI.
  • Ensuring that the Reporting & Self-Service BI and Data Platforms and Integrations teams operate efficiently and meet their deliverables.
  • Championing the continuous development and upgrade of BI tools, technologies, and practices
  • Foreseeing risks and issues on delivery and providing resolutions
  • Cultivating a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting data literacy and training
  • Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and governance standards are maintained.
  • Evaluating and selecting vendors and tools for BI needs, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Create culture of efficiency, collaboration, innovative and proactive for business users and across other functions.
  • Monitoring BI trends and advancements in the industry to keep the organization competitive.
  • Managing escalations around Production systems issues and delivery.
  • Establishing KPIs for the BI team and regularly reviewing performance.
  • Coordinating with IT, data science, and other relevant departments for cross-functional projects.

Key Measures of Success:
  • Successful on-time delivery, adhering to quality and security measures of organisation, of BI/DWH projects and related milestones
  • Systems readiness for production by start date and capable of matching agreed SLAs
  • Successful KPIs adherence on production systems.

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in delivering complex greenfield or transformational BI projects within tight deadlines
  • 10+ years of proven working experience in requirements analysis, design, development, testing and support of BI large-scale projects
  • Proven experience in an Analyst/Developer role in relational database systems, data management, reporting, analytics in a multidimensional large data warehouse environment utilizing AWS technologies stack (e.g. Redshift, Athena, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, DataStage or similar) implementation, selection and rollouts.
  • Advanced experience in Report/Dashboard design and multidimensional analysis using tools such as PowerBI, SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, QlikView, Oracle BI, Microsoft SSAS/SSRS or similar
  • Very good knowledge with data mining and analytics tools (Databricks, IBM SPSS Modeler, SAS Data Mining, SAP Predictive Analytics)
  • Experience in implementing and running a Big Data Cloud platforms
  • Strong hands on Technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective organizational and planning skills to deal with a variety of projects
  • Extensive experience in Org design and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Experience in managing and working with budgets. Presenting to C-level on initiatives and transformations which provides ROI for them.
  • Experience on implementing latest BI, Data governance, Data Science, AI systems.
  • Good to have experience on Betting and Gaming and Lottery industry.
