The role involves providing, as part of a team an inpatient input to 3 community hospitals and outpatient clinics held either virtually or within a community setting. The team also manages a caseload of Home Enteral Feeding patients which you will contribute to the support of. You will deliver group education to patients and healthcare professionals in Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon localities of Devon ICB. You may often be working alone but with support and advice from senior staff across the service your ability to seek guidance when required is essential.

The Community Dietetic service is part of a wider strong Dietetic team including Specialists in paediatrics, oncology, gastro, intestinal failure, cystic fibrosis and renal. The department has good integrated services with other AHP’s and is supportive in CPD opportunities. You will contribute to projects, outcome measures, audit and training of both dietetic, medical students and other HCP’s. We will support you in developing your skills in a number of ways, including shadowing opportunities across the team.

The main hospital site is in the vibrant, historical cathedral and university city of Exeter that has abundant family amenities and beautiful surrounding countryside. It is situated in the South West region with easy access to the countryside and coast of Devon and Cornwall. It is well served by rail, road and air links.
