Role Purpose:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring NRS Healthcare’s services adopt a continual improvement approach. You will implement a programme of Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects across the organisation, ensuring processes and ways of working are consistent at local, regional, and national levels. Your efforts will align operationally and strategically with the aims, values, and objectives of the overall organisation.


Responsibilities:

In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and prioritising opportunities for process enhancement across the organisation. You will develop and implement strategies using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies, while facilitating workshops and training sessions to build internal capability in continuous improvement practices.

Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough analysis of current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. You will develop process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other documentation to support improvement initiatives, utilising data and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of process changes and improvements.

You will lead and manage continuous improvement projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Collaborating with project stakeholders, you will define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.

Working closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, IT, and Customer Service, you will drive improvements and communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and other stakeholders. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting engagement and involvement at all levels of the organisation.

Developing and implementing change management plans will be essential to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices. You will provide training and support to employees to facilitate smooth transitions and sustained improvements.

Finally, you will establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement initiatives. Regular reviews and audits will be conducted to ensure compliance with new processes and identify further opportunities for improvement.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, along with experience in continuous improvement, process optimisation, or a related role. A strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies is essential, as is a proven track record of successfully leading and implementing improvement projects.

You should possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in using process improvement tools and software is also necessary.


Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Preferred candidates will hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and have experience in the healthcare, logistics, or medical devices industry. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the healthcare sector is also advantageous.
