Do you want to join a team that’s passionate about our community and providing homes to those who need them? An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Commercial and Sales Officer to join our team and help deliver high-quality services to our residents and business partners. 

What’s the role? 

As part of our Commercial team, the successful candidate will provide excellent customer services to support the team in the delivery of new business, housing and community opportunities as well as managing a portfolio of commercial activity. The role will involve: 

  • Proactive communications with our project teams on new build schemes 

  • Working in partnership with our Sales and Marketing Agent and legal teams 

  • Management of leaseholder and shared owner transactions 

  • Management of commercial agents 

  • Project administration including raising purchase orders and payments, processing invoices, and council tax and utility bill verification 

  • Day-to-day management of our garages, including reporting and monitoring performance 

What are we looking for? 

You will be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You will have a background in commercial sales and knowledge of the housing or construction sectors would be a distinct advantage. 

Essential: 

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines 

  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive and proactive attitude to change 

  • Flexibility to manage an array of tasks and the ability to think creatively to resolve problems 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Confident in liaising with agents and residents of all tenures via any method of communication 

  • Good knowledge of sales and marketing 

  • Ability to use IT systems 

  • Be willing to carry out site visits on occasion 


Desirable: 

  • An understanding of the housing sector and development process for affordable housing 

  • Experience using Orchard Housing application and eBis for Finance
