Claims Account Handler (Delegated Authority)

This role will support our dedicated Delegated Authority Claims team to manage and administer our Coverholder's losses You will work in a dedicated Facilities Team that handles over 200 Delegated Authorities & Lineslips across all Specialty Practices, managing approximately USD 1.5 billion in gross written premium The Facilities Management team consists of over 40 colleagues with a vast range of experience and expertise The dedicated team are experts in their field, managing a variety of activities from governance, placement, premiums & claims Success in the role would require a strong work ethic and an ability to be a team player Opportunities will be available to learn other areas of the team, collaboration is paramount

We will rely on you to:

Work as part of a small dedicated Delegated Authorities Claims team, working closely with Coverholders/DCA’s to ensure oversight of all Claims matter. To keep up to date with all regulatory and Lloyd’s updates and changes affecting the Delegated Authority market. Handle and case manage claims and contribute to the satisfactory resolution of complex and/or contentious issues. Credit control: monitoring payments on a daily basis, liaising with Accounts Department as required. The use of ECF, CLASS & IMR to handle large volumes of Bordereau work, Urgent Cash Call Collections & Account Reconciliations. Meet agreed standards of accuracy, service, work volumes, and other performance targets in line with bespoke Client SLA’s. Maintaining good client and market relationships.

What you need to have: 

Planning and organisational skills. The ability to work as part of a team. Able to promote continuous improvement and respond positively to change. Good attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach. Quick to take on-board new information which is technical in nature. Analytically minded with the ability to resolve complex queries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good numeracy skills.

Experience of Delegated Authorities, with either an Insurer or Broker. Previous claims handling/insurance experience, with either with an Insurer or Broker CII qualifications or a willingness to study for and obtain A genuine keenness to build a career within the insurance industry MS Excel skills
