Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join The Ark Child Okeford as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

We are a childcare setting located in the heart of North Dorset, between Blandford Forum and Sturminster Newton, on the premises of St. Nicholas Primary School, in the village of Child Okeford. 

Our aims are:

To enhance the development and education of children in a parent-involving community based group. To offer good quality, affordable childcare. To provide a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environment for children from 0 years to the end of primary school age. To work within a framework that ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum Monitor and assess the development and progress of each child Communicate with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress Maintain cleanliness and organization in the nursery room Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations Provide guidance and support to nursery staff members

Requirements;

Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role  GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills To obtain a clear DBS check

Hours;

The Ark Child Okeford offer a day-nursery provision running from 08:00-18:00, Monday-Friday.  The successful candidate would be expected to work 45 hours per week – With weekly shift patterns to be discussed
