Preferred qualification - Childcare Level 3 or above.

Hours - minimum 36 hours per week between 8.00 and 5.30 pm **all year round.**

Duties - Staff
- Practitioners are directly responsible to the Deputy, supervisor and proprietor.
- They must be prepared to attend regular staff meetings.
- It is the assistants’ duty to carry out any instructions by the supervisor, deputy or proprietor to assist in the day-to-day running of the pre-school.
- Duties - Procedures
- The practitioner should be familiar with the policies and procedures of the setting.
- Contribute to co-constructive planning with the children, using their fascinations and interests to extend and elaborate on their learning.
- Make regular observations and reports on children’s development and progress, be responsible for a key group of up to 10 children.
- Be aware of and keep up to date with statutory requirements including safeguarding and registration.
- Attend regular training updates as required

**Duties - All Staff**This is not an exhaustive list it is just a guide.
- As well as their individual responsibilities, all staff are responsible for their own Health and safety, and that of the children and adults who visit the premises.
- Each staff member should ensure a quick and efficient setting up and clearing away of activities and equipment, including cleaning procedures.
- All staff must be courteous to parents and visitors.
- All staff should ensure the storage areas and classrooms are left in the correct condition.
- All staff must read and sign the policies and procedures, and be familiar with their day-to-day uses.
- All staff must complete a DBS check and clearance through Ofsted, sign a health declaration form, staff suitability form and allow references to be followed up.
