About the Mental Health Hospital:

This is a leading provider of specialist mental health care and rehabilitation.

The role of a Ward Manager (RMN) within the Mental Health Hospital involves:
  • Managing the ward and resources effectively
  • Ensuring that appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience is in place, including effective rota management, annual leave and training arrangements
  • Ensuring that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, and mandatory training
  • Acting as a role model and mentor to junior members of staff
  • Taking appropriate action to ensure that the standard of care that patients receive is of the highest standard
  • Ensuring that all patients have clear and current care plans, that reflect their personalised needs
  • Actively lead on the recruitment and retention of staff of the ward and hospital
  • Developing strong and effective working relationships will all clinical and non-clinical colleagues
  • Ensuring that the legislative frameworks regarding the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties is applied in accordance with Company Policy, and National Requirements.
  • Ensuring that clinical communication, records, handovers, reports and other patient related information is conveyed and recorded promptly and accurately
