Background and Structure

Mindshare Global Investment team sit at the heart of the agency, working with many other agency capabilities, including trading, client leadership, commercial, digital, and new business on a local, regional and global level. Additionally, we collaborate across wider GroupM Investment.

Our primary function is to support in investment and trading requirements across our global client portfolio, working closely with local market agency teams, global clients, and external 3rd parties. This team focuses on workstreams includingmedia value management, marketplace and inflation monitoring, auditor collaboration/ management, digital process management,commercial liability and contractual awareness, new business pitches, innovation in developing media channels and thought leadership.

Overview of Role

This role will involve working across several key global clients within our group. Depending on the client, the role will include areas such as the below:

Trading Delivery:
Working with local market trading teams to track media value delivery according to the agreed methodology. Clear understanding of the trading commitments and measurement methodology.
Keeping managers aware of media value delivery and helping to support in developing solution focused approaches where needed.

Analysis:
Confident at handling large data sets, quality assurance in data, spotting anomalies and asking questions to ensure accuracy and robustness of data.

Media Knowledge:
Focus on global media knowledge of markets, channels, measurement metrics, methodologies and trading metrics to build knowledge and experience. Proactive and engaging approach to learning is essential.

Market Intelligence:
Develop market intelligence in areas such as media price inflation, media channel evolution and media landscape changes, keeping team and clients aware of such changes and any potential impact.

Relationship Focus:
This role will involve working with many global markets. As such, an ability to develop collaborative relationships with local teams, and where relevant, clients and 3rd party auditorsis important. Demonstrating a thoughtful, considered, and fair approach in discussions around how to resolve issues.

Team:
Active participation in the WW Investment team, workstreams and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Keycompetencies:
The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a media buying/trading role, within a media auditor, a client business and/or within an investment management agency team.

The role will involve working with big data sets, therefore skills in maths, excel and attention to detail are essential. An interest in analysing data, understanding the trends and story it shows are also important. We are particularly interested in any advanced analytics and data visualisation skills including experience of platforms such as Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI, as well as any VBA/macro writing skills.

Equally important is an ability to develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of colleagues, both within internal global teams and where relevant, external parties. Strong organisation, communication skills and problem-solving skills would be beneficial, as well as a proactive and friendly approach.

Performance Measures:
The success of the role will be measured against agreed KPI’s which will be discussed periodically throughout the year. Additionally, strong local market relationships are critical to the success of this role.
