Our Ladys Care Home, based in Belfast is currently recruiting an Activities Co-Ordinator to join our friendly, caring, and progressive Care Home. This is a vital role within the Home, where the successful candidate will work as a team to create a stimulating and developing activity program to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the nursing home.

Ideal candidate:

  • Working as part of a team to deliver excellent quality, person-centred activities, and social activities for residents.

  • Plan special events and group activities, on occasion creating personalised plans for residents.

  • Facilitate opportunities for residents to spend time together.

  • Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation.

  • Must have a good command of written and spoken English.

  • Relevant vocational qualifications (achieved or working towards).

  • Experience working with elderly residents suffering from dementia.

  • Knowledge of care of the elderly patients' Charter of Rights.

Desired Criteria

  • Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved / working towards).
  • Experience of working with elderly residents suffering from dementia.
  • Knowledge of Care of the Elderly Patients Charter of Rights.

Required Criteria

  • Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically with the elderly.
  • Team player who can demonstrate a caring nature.
