An exciting opportunity for an eRostering Systems Officer has arisen within NHS Fife. You will be responsible for supporting the e-Rostering Manager to deliver an effective ongoing business as usual service delivery of the electronic rostering system within Fife. The systems officer will support build and ongoing maintenance of the system including configuration, maintenance and linkages with other systems where appropriate. This role will ensure best practice guidance is followed and implemented and ensure the system is maintained to a high operational standard within NHS Fife. The officer will also support system configuration which will support delivery of Safecare staffing legislation.

The systems officer will have day to day responsibility for the system and will require a high level of concentration and data input skills. The officer will initially work alongside the digital implementation team to support, facilitate and progress the implementation and continued use of rostering systems to ensure tight timescales and objectives are achieved before moving into a full business as usual role.

The officer will support users with challenges or problems which may arise within delivery and be customer focussed in their support, working closely with colleagues across Fife to ensure fairness and equality in roster production. 

NHS Fife is ambitious in developing its Digital and Information Strategy 2019-2024 to support organisational change and modernise service delivery for the benefit of staff, patients, carers and the public and the e-Rostering Programme is fundamental to this aim, therefore this post will act as a key advocate of this agenda.

You must be able to travel throughout Fife on occasion and sometimes across Scotland as required. 

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
