We are looking for a person to join the team that will manage all the space at Heathrow - balancing the needs of Team Heathrow and driving investment to create new space opportunities to ensure space does not hinder our service delivery, making Heathrow a great place to work and delivering commercial value - all while aligning with our masterplan vision for sustainable growth.

Specifically, this role will focus on how we build our knowledge on space use and establish our space governance - supporting the team with particular projects to improve space use within a terminal or underused spaces on our perimeter. This will suit someone who can combine strategic thinking with operational and commercial skills.

This role requires someone who is passionate about the airport and making it better, with a relentless determination to deliver better outcomes for our passengers and colleagues.

Be part of a team that will oversee all space at Heathrow, deciding how to use and assign all space during the H7 regulatory period - ensuring that space supports our business plan. Demonstrate a service-oriented approach to space management, including being the main contact point for all space requests from the whole business - managing a space governance process that records future demand, clearly determines space allocation and defines ownership/responsibility for all space at Heathrow. Working with external consultants to set up benchmarks and other data to assess whether current and future use of space is efficient, commercial and optimises outcomes for passengers and colleagues. Understand the needs of senior space owners and find opportunities for space consolidation and innovative/collaborative conversations to meet space requirements within existing footprints. Support the Technology team in supporting the delivery of new Geographic Information System software to enable effective space management and insights. Set up and maintain the space quality and quantity standards applicable to all space, ensuring transparency and consistency across the estate. Contributing to the long-term redevelopment strategy for the Heathrow estate - identifying opportunities for capital investment to expand/improve spaces, being a significant contributor to the development of business cases and ensuring they are consistent with our masterplan. Experience of Heathrow Operations and/or Commercial. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Excellent written and oral communication – with experience of presenting to and/or influencing senior stakeholders desirable.  Great data analytic skills  Determination and tact to drive through change.
