As a part of the Creative team, you’ll be at the core of what we do at JLR, shaping the future of modern luxury. Working in Vehicle Design, Materiality, Brand Design, Digital Design, Business Planning and Transformation, you’ll collaborate with other creative minds to deliver sustainable solutions using cutting-edge technology. Unleash your creativity on iconic brands. Come, be a proud creator of the exceptional.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Jaguar Land Rover Creative Organisation is evolving to a new way of working, which will enable the execution of our Reimagine strategy. The evolved organisation includes housing various creative hubs (Vehicle, Brand, Digital, Materiality Design and Production Design), which are pivotal in our inflection towards a Modern Luxury future and reflects the growing importance to the entire enterprise.

The Production Design Team consists of Surface Material Integration, Geometric Validation, and Design Launch Quality teams. A diverse group of automotive design, materials and engineering expertise that supports design finessing and design problem resolution through to the production design releases, product launch and launch vehicle quality maturation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Managing a team of Production Design Launch Quality Specialists in the Launch phase of all Vehicle programmes to ensure Creative intent is policed and delivered.  Managing collaborative activities to optimise quality of vehicles specially prepared for product launch and reveal activities ( implementing Design Intent for Launch/Reveal specifications)  Co-ordinating quality audits to support all Vehicle programmes for reveal and launch vehicles through to sign-off activities with PR and Communications.  Planning and managing the monitoring of Surface Material Integration colour mastering and harmony during the product launch era.  Build network and understanding between Creative and JLR prototype build sites, both in the UK and globally, to ensure alignment on quality standards and priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Proven collaboration and presentation skills, including use of PowerPoint software and ability to use internet resources appropriately for research purposes. An expert level of surface quality aesthetic judgement, colour vision and colour perception.  Expert level experience in automotive materials, processes and suppliers.  Expert level knowledge of prototype and show build processes.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to and communicate effectively at all levels.  Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth) of Vehicle Design Programmes during Launch phases.

Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work. Some roles require more on-site work, but details of this can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview stage.

We work hard to nurture a culture that is inclusive and welcoming to all. We understand candidates may require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please discuss these with your recruiter so we can accommodate your needs.

Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. If you’re unsure that you meet the full criteria of a role – but you're interested in where it could take you – we still encourage you to apply. We believe in people's ability to grow and develop within their role – it’s what makes living the exceptional with soul possible.

JLR is committed to equal opportunity for all.
