What We're Looking For

We seek a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team as a subject matter expert and coach for ensuring robust engineering design through JLR's Product Development Process with a strong focus on Through Life (Diagnostics, Service Strategy, Fault Presentations, Prognostics, End of Life Decommissioning).

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the 'Through Life' element of the Engineering Excellence Framework with a focus on Quality of Event
  • Cultivate and mentor individuals or teams on tools and applications across upcoming and existing projects, promoting best practices for serviceability checks & tooling checks to be fed back into product designs
  • Drive transformation projects to improve Through Life processes across Product Engineering
  • Implement Prevent Recurrence measures and Lessons Learnt Implementation
  • Pursue other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job
Your Background

As an Advanced Engineering Quality Specialist, you will have experience working in Product Engineering within large multi-national organisations. Your increasing responsibility in various environments has focused primarily on complex electro-mechanical-software integrated product architectures used in the automotive industry.

You have supported Product Development projects and organisations from concept to launch, possessing strong people and leadership skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work individually and in cross-functional teams.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Proven track record in Product Engineering in a large multi-national organisation
  • Increasing responsibility in a variety of Product Engineering environments focused primarily on complex electro-mechanical-software integrated product architectures used in the automotive industry
  • Strong people and leadership skills, with the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

The estimated salary for this position is around £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
