Job Title: Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker SeptemberLocation:

Salary:

£83.85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:
  • Provide support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students in their academic and social development
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
  • Help students to develop coping strategies and resilience
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Education:

Relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role supporting SEMH students

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, supporting students with SEMH needs. The work may be emotionally demanding at times, but it is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
