ICT System and Project Manager

Based: SSL Hub (B6 7JJ)

Responsible for managing/ liaising with internal stake holders (including but not limited to) Trust ICT Department, Capital team, Estates Managers, Heads of Functions and support services and external contractors/suppliers of electronic software applications and BMS and Support Services systems to ensure correct installation and to ensure all H & S procedures and requirements are followed including ensuring all contractors produce Risk Assessments and Method statements (RAMS) in the required formant to be approved by relevant stake holders.

To manage all IT related SSL projects and carry out research and cost benefit analysis of best system to procure, including HR, Finance, and other support services systems. To assist with and produce procurement documentation to tender for systems.

To liaise with Trust ICT for various SSL workstreams that touch ICT services, Visa versa with clear links from Trust ICT back to SSL.

At SSL, we work in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), to deliver facilities management, transport and other support services to over 50 sites across the West Midlands. Our team keeps expanding and since our establishment, in 2012, we have grown rapidly though the acquisition of new sites and SSL we take pride in our focus to support and contribute to the Trust's aim which is to help people get better and challenge the stigma associated with mental illness. Compliance

Risk Management and Health & Safety

Training, Education and Development

Participate in regular appraisals; identifying performance standards of the post and associated training and development needs.

This role profile exists to identify key activities which will be reviewed and revised, as appropriate, on a regular basis in consultation with the post holder and not less than annually at performance appraisal. Changes of a permanent nature will be incorporated into this document. From time to time the post holder may be required to undertake other duties that are reasonably requested.

Person Specification

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

Degree or equivalent in information technology Or Significant experience in a similar role

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Essential

Significant experience of working within an ICT environment and project managing IT and electronic installations and systems. Experience of procuring and project managing new systems Demonstrable experience in managing service contracts. Demonstrable experience in effective application and use of complex computerised software and hardware Demonstrable track record and ability in effective management of contracts Excellent Verbal and written communication skills for working with colleagues and external partners. Demonstrable option appraisal and business planning skills Able to trouble shoot, problem solve, evaluate, review, assess and propose solutions. Able to work with a high level of autonomy. Ability to use and understand software and hardware systems. Ability to produce reports, forecasts and commitment accounting reports weekly/monthly and as required. Ability to use complex data to produce reports to a high standard.

Desirable

Previous experience of working on sites with people who suffer from Mental Health related problems. Knowledge of NHS Estates & Facilities and or ICT functions Understanding of KPIs
