Job summary
The post holder will deal with day to day departmental issues relating to their area of work, ensuring appropriate reporting and action is taken and the relevant people informed. The post holder will work under the guidance of the Community Management team to establish and take responsibility for office systems to ensure that the business of the Area is undertaken in an efficient and effective manner. The post-holder is required to manage their day-to-day workload and use their initiative with limited supervision; this requires excellent judgement, organisational ability, communication skills and the ability to cope with working to tight and multiple deadlines. The post holder will be responsible for the line management, support and supervision of all Community A&C staff employed within the hospital, and other teams where delegated.
The post contains a range of duties normally undertaken within procedural guidelines and work is frequently undertaken at the post holder's own initiative. This role involves frequently dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Main duties of the job
To provide day to day office management and supervion for the Community A&C Teams Provision of a professional and responsive service as the first point of contact for telephone and "in person" callers to the Area Community office. Exercise initiative in responding to callers and the action to be taken including referral to other officers. Ensuring that the Area Management Team is contacted and briefed within appropriate timescales on all important matters and developments. Co-ordinate complaint response times as guided by Community Management Team Investigate complaints in relation to A&C and delegated team issues Provide formal minute taking at a range of meetings
