Student Support Role

Outwood Academy Acklam, which was the first Outwood school in Teesside, has almost 1200 students on roll. At its latest inspection, it was judged to be a GOOD school with OUTSTANDING leadership. We are a diverse and vibrant 11-16 academy, based in the friendly, north-east town of Middlesbrough.
Outwood Academy Acklam seeks to appoint a colleague to coordinate our bespoke provisions to our wonderful student community. You will join our existing Inclusion team and become a member of the Outwood family. Working as part of the Inclusion team, you will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students with a view to achieving full integration back into mainstream school, following a measurable provision delivered by yourself. This is a challenging but rewarding role for the right candidate. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and the Inclusion team to manage the room and provide appropriate and personalised timetables for individual students and groups.
We are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning. In a beautiful setting, enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities that the academy has to offer.
We have a holistic and inclusive approach to the work that we do. The Academy has received accolades and external recognition, with the awarding of the Inclusion Quality Mark - Centre of Excellence, alongside the Carnegie ‘Gold’ Mental Health Award for the work we do to support our diverse and dynamic student body.
