PLC Coordinator Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated PLC Coordinator to join our inclusion team at Outwood Academy Acklam. As a key member of our pastoral support team, you will play a vital role in promoting the learning and welfare of vulnerable students, with the aim of reintegrating them back into the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the bespoke provision within the academy, working closely with senior leaders and other pastoral staff to manage the provision and provide personalized support for individual students and groups.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students, ensuring their needs are met and they have access to the support they require.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to supporting vulnerable students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the bespoke provision, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring that students receive the best possible support.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable students, with a strong understanding of their needs and the challenges they face.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the academy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
