Job Title: Educational Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will work with a Middlesbrough school to promote the achievement and wellbeing of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or other barriers to their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Providing counselling and support to students, parents, and staff to promote their achievement and wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
  • Delivering training and workshops on mental health and educational strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in educational psychology to inform practice.
Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in Psychology and a post-graduate training course in Educational Psychology.
  • Experience of carrying out psychological assessments and interventions in educational settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote inclusion and diversity.
