We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team on the Special Care Baby Unit. The main responsibility of this role is to provide support to the paediatric doctors caring for newborn infants on the postnatal ward. You will undertake additional training in order to perform basic observations on neonates and assist the doctors with procedures.

Main duties of the job

To provide support to Neonatal/Paediatric doctors caring for all new-born infants on postnatal ward

To provide oversite of babies requiring transitional Care

To work closely with Maternity Discharge Co-ordinators to ensure timely discharge from hospital

To provide cover for the SCBU Ward Manager Clerk during periods of sickness or annual leave

To undertake basic observations for transitional care babies

To assist the medical team with any procedures

To assist with the referrals and admin for the neonatal RSV immunisation clinics
