About theteam:

The team is small butdedicated specialising in silverware writing instruments badges andhigher value unique and novelty miscellaneous antiques. Every dayin the team is different with the chance to see some trulybeautiful and unique antiques. Due to the nature of the role andteam you would be constantly learning and encouraged to grow yourknowledge and expertise.

The team processescurates and lists a high volume of stock with the aim of gettingthe best return on investment for each item. In this role you willcontribute to the monthly eBay revenue and auction sales and gainan understanding of the antique market and the various revenuestreams.

This role is ideal forsomeone who is curious inquisitive and eager to expand theirknowledge and skills in this field.

Key goals andobjectives:

The main goal is tolearn about fountain pens and other writing instruments enabling usto identify and value a wide variety of them that we encounter inour daily activities. This includes pens ranging from lowvalue tohighend brands such as Montblanc.

Anotherimportant objective is to contribute to the monthly goals andtargets set by your manager which should be in line with companygoals and personal growth.

Additionally we aimto understand the basics of silverware and how we process it withinthe business.

In your first threemonths youwill:

  • Duringyour initial three months of working in the team you will learnabout different types of writing instruments and able to identify awide range of them.

  • Youwill become proficient in using our purpose built listing tool andachieve necessary monthly targets.

In yourfirst six months youwill:

  • In yourfirst six months you will begin your own personal research journeyon any topic that stands out to you and you will be supported byyour manager to build out your product knowledge.

  • You will also be introducedto the various auction houses we work with and start to understandwhat sells best where and why.

In yourfirst year youwill:

  • Withinyour first year you will have the opportunity to learn and grow asan individual and be at the point where you have a solid baselineknowledge to contribute to the team and business.

  • Additionally you will getto see a whole range of unique and interesting items.

Keyresponsibilities:

  • Efficientlyseparate and sort large quantities of fountain pens writingequipment pin and lapel badges and miscellaneous antiques.

  • Contribute your own ideasand suggestions to the team to ensure that we grow were alwaysevolving and adapting to be more efficient and effective in the waywe work.

  • Continuouslyupskill by drawing on the expertise of your teammates with ongoingtraining and support.

  • Workdiligently and efficiently when handling items to meet targets anddeadlines.

  • Learn more aboutthe auction process and assist other members of the team inachieving targets via listing grouping and sorting.

  • Process eBay and auctionreturns promptly and accurately.

Essentialskills andexperience:

  • Strongpassion and interest in antiques and highvalue items such asfountain pens silverware collectables etc.

  • Willingness and curiosityto constantly learn and develop skills and knowledge.

  • Computer literate and ableto write concise and accurate notes.


Desirableskills and nice tohaves:

  • Demonstratedability to accurately identify and read British hallmarks.

  • Previous experience workingin the field of online ecommerce or with large quantities ofproducts.

  • Experience orknowledge in a similar field bringing valuable experience andinsights to the team.
