The maternity team at CDDFT are searching for committeddynamic and enthusiastic newly qualified midwives to join our team. Our Midwives work across Acute and Communitysettings, with an excellent preceptorship programme lead by our specialistPractice Development Team. You will be supported and welcomed into your roleand encourages to continue your development as a newly qualified midwife. Weare keen to develop highly trained Midwives who can deliver exceptional care,to the families of County Durham and Darlington.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for newly qualified midwives who arecommitted and passionate to provide maternity care during all three stages of apersons' maternity journey. You will be responsible for the planning, implementationand evaluation of individualised care plans which ensure delivery of holistic,research based care, prioritising commuication, informed consent andrelationship building.

We will take into consideration your skills and knowledge and developa plan with you as to your preferred base after preceptorship, be that in anAcute setting or Community.

We also have various options to develop yourskills and become part of one of our community teams based across our areaduring your preceptorship

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

We are looking for newly Qualified Midwives who are keen todevelop their skills and knowledge, with many opportunities that are on thehorizon at CDDFT. It is an exciting time to be a part of our Maternity family

We wish to encourage all newly qualified midwives to applyto work with us to deliver outstanding, Antenatal, Intrapartum and PostnatalCare to the mothers and families in our area. This includes working within theUNICEF framework for Infant Feeding, and close working relationships with ourScreening Team, to deliver all elements of the National Screening programme.

You will be well supported in a bespoke preceptorshippathway by members of our specialist Practice Development Team who will ensureyour support as you transition to the role of a qualified midwife, bothprofessionally and personally. We encourage a culture of life-long learning anddevelopment and you will be encouraged and supported to continue to develop asa qualified practitioner.
