Oak ward is an assessment ward that provides inpatient admission stays for older people who are experiencing significant mental health related difficulties that are sufficient enough to require an admission.

The successful candidate will work with an experienced multi-professional team to help support the needs of our patients, carers and staff. The role will involve facilitating and supporting the delivery of psychological assessments, and psychologically informed interventions. The psychologist will use their knowledge of challenging behaviour to inform formulations and behaviour support plans, and interventions with the aim of reducing distress for our patients on the ward.

About us

Working on the wards will provide you with the opportunity to work with professionals from multi-disciplines. As psychologists we work with the ward staff to support our patients in living well with mental health. Psychology is well established in all the areas across Mental Health Services for Older People and you will be joining a thriving and dynamic group of psychologists who will support your development.
