A service based in  Beaconsfield is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 37 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance 

Hours will be Monday –Friday, 6:30 - 9:00AM (Rise then Shine) and 03:00 – 06:30 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 7 additional admin hours. 

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1500 commencement bonus  at the completion of first month plus another $1500  loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

About the role

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service

Based in Beaconsfield, this thriving service sees 35 - 40 students per session. They have a strong sense of community, with several staff members having been there for 4 years. Your planning and behaviour management skills will be valued as you think strategically to continue the strength of the service. You'll have access to indoor and outdoor spaces and plenty of autonomy to create engaging activities with the kids. 

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

Confidence managing a large group of children Understanding of behaviour management strategies and ability to implement them Ability to lead an established team Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children Australian work rights Holds or is currently studying an ACECQA-approved qualification at a Diploma level or above
