About the Centre

The University of Cambridge Language Centre is an institution within the School of Arts and Humanities but provides language learning opportunities for all members of the University, both students and staff, through a combination of taught courses in some 18 languages, guided self-study, as well as a programme of academic development and training for international students. The Language Centre houses an open access learning centre (the John Trim Centre) open to all and develops and publishes its own online learning resources. The Language Centre is the sole occupant of a building in central Cambridge, sitting separately from other institutions within the School, but it also works closely with other departments and faculties across the whole University.
