Position Summary
Working within the powder processing department to meet the needs of the customer.

 

What We're Looking For 
We are looking for a commited team player with a background within manufacturing to work on a shift basis of x3 nights (12 hours) followed by x4 days (12 hours). The main responsibilities are below:

 

  1. Ensuring that Health and Safety awareness and performance meet company standards. This must include assisting risk assessment of existing and new operation and offering solutions to current problems. 

 

  1. Enforcing company quality procedures to ensure a supply of high-quality product consistently meets customer needs. 

 

  1. Ensuring that his production area is adequately resourced in terms of raw materials and operating consumables. 

 

  1. Optimising stocking levels in terms of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods. 

 

  1. Maintaining efficient stock recording and process monitoring systems for the area under their control. 

 

  1. The Powder Process Operator is responsible for: - 

 

  • Preparation of Raw Materials 

  • Oven Loading/ Unloading 

  • Turbo Loading / Unloading 

  • Crushing of dried sinter 

  • Tableting powder 

  • FIBC Loading and Storage 

  • BN/TiB2 Sinter/Reclaim IMC Processing 

  • Jet Milling TiB2, Reclaim and BN 

  • Blending of Jet Milled Powders 

  • Bag/Drum Filling From IBC 

 

  1. Safe handling of chemicals though COSHH awareness. 

 

  1. Identifying and driving through improvements in the area under their control. 

 

  1. Liasing with Engineering co-ordinator through the Team Leader to ensure plant availability remains at a high level. This must include the setting up of plant condition monitoring systems involving both engineering and production personnel. 

 

  1. Assisting in the development of both new and existing products.  

 

 

Experience with:

Manufacturing experience essential

An flt licence would be benefitial but not essential as the right candidate can be trained

Furness experience would be benefitial
