About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Viasat. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring the highest quality standards, and driving efficiency and effectiveness in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and coordinate production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels, and implementing strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and work closely with the quality manager to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage relationships with internal and external partners, including contract electronics manufacturers, to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Security Protocols: Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the integrity of our products and manufacturing processes, and work closely with the security team to ensure compliance with UK security clearance requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small team of specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the success of the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in electronics manufacturing, supply chain management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of inventory management, quality assurance, and production planning.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or supply chain management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as IPC or ISO, and the ability to obtain UK security clearance (SC).
