Primary schools located in across the East Lancashire are actively looking for enthusiastic and capable teaching assistants to join their team for permanent positions starting in September. The role entails working with children in KS1 and KS2, identifying individual needs of the pupils and supporting their educational needs.

Schools are seeking experienced Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant’s or those with qualifications in view for permanent positions starting in September 2024. 

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals.
  • Assist with academic tasks, ensuring access to the curriculum and facilitating active engagement in learning for all students.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Aiding teachers in the running of classes and assisting where required whilst gaining valuable knowledge and experience of a primary school environment.
  • Provide 1 to 1 support or within small groups for pupils where necessary.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A keen passion for education and learning.
  • Experience in the classroom/ supporting as a TA.
  • A DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual students.
