Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: Who will you be supporting and what is important to me?
My name is Brenda, and I am looking to recruit 2 part-time members of staff who are drivers and will be willing to take me out in the community daily. I look forward to going out to different places and trying new things. I use a manual wheelchair, and I have my own vehicle. Being able to access the community daily will improve my overall health and wellbeing, allowing me to live my best life. I share my house with three other ladies who are my friends.
What are we proud of? We are proud to be a female only service with only female support staff. We have a Person-Centred Approach, and this is visible in the support plans and in our home. Staff assist us to access the wider community, community facilities and activities that are person centred. Our staff team is diverse, supportive, approachable, and engaging. There are three wheelchair users including myself and one that is mobile. What activities do we to do? What are our interests?Going to the hairdressers to get our hair done. Getting our nails done professionally Arts and Crafts – making rings and bracelets. Going out on day trips with competent staff What type of house is it?
Montagu Drive is an all-female service located in the Oakwood area of Leeds, which is near to Roundhay Park. It consists of 4 bedrooms and communal areas. The property also benefits from a large garden surrounding the property which is accessible to all the residents.
