As a Registered Nurse (Adult) youll be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Featherstone by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care. You could be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. Within this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.

Main duties of the job

You will be a Registered Nurse (Adult), NMC qualified and will have evidence of continued professional development throughout your clinical career thus far. Having an understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, coupled with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach will enable you to succeed in this role, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving. Youll receive an annual salary up to £ 36300  per annum - dependent on experience. We offer a whole host of additional benefits such as: cycle to work scheme, free DBS check, free uniform, an extensive training and development structure for all employees along with an employee recognition scheme.

Job responsibilities

As a Primary Care Nurse you will work within amulti-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospitaladmissions. You will undertakemedication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency responsesituations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. You will use your skills and knowledge todeliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by amulti-disciplinary team.

You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to;

Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seekingout, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalisedand informed by what matters to them.

Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, asdefined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.

Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners andstakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within,and feel proud of.

Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care andcontinuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
